My Papua New Guinea Outreach Trip - January 2017 - Milne Bay and Oro Provinces

In late January of 2017, my father and I were volunteering as deck crew for the YWAM Medical Ship as it ventured from Milne Bay northwards to Lae. There were stops in the vibrant Oro Bay, the unbelievable fjords of Tufi and the uncharted region of Manau. Together, we braved the rough seas at the helm of a speedboat, trekked through hot and insect-infested rainforests, and saw many wonderful and unique natural sights. The days offered intense heat and violent thunderstorms. The nights were still and silent, accompanied by the many insects of the dark and the beams of light from other ships and ports. The duties were many and challenging but yielded the rewards of adventure provided by the surrounding natural wonders...
